About the Artist & Designer:

Kristi comes from a background of over 7 years as a designer or web developer for nationally recognized companies. Most recently, she has served as a Web Developer for True Action, a division of GSI Commerce. Before that, she was a Creative Director for Kaffe Magnum Opus, a specialty coffee roaster in Southern New Jersey and before that, a designer for Auntie Anne's, Inc - a QSR Franchise company of over 1000 store locations and in 20 countries.

She has also co-founded There's No Box, a web development service firm and serves as the Project Manager and Front-End Developer.

Her perspecive on design comes from the desire to create solutions that are intentional and have meaning, not just visual appeal. She enjoys learning about every step of the process, to achieve a more intentional and complete solution in the end.

About the Website: Under the Hood

This website was built in less than 7 days, from scratch with all-natural ingredients such as the jQuery Javascript library for its one-page interactvity, and Cufon for the h1, h2, and navigation font enhancement. I learned most of the code, tricks, and fluff to implement this site in 4 days.
Update Feb 23: Now AJAX flavored on-demand window loading, featuring our home-brewed There's No Box CMS. Mmm, Frothy.

• 1 year experience exclusively developing for e-commerce platforms (ASP and JSP based).
• Proficient in Javascript (and libraries such as jQuery and Prototype), HTML/XHTML, CSS, Actionscript 3.0
• Over 7 years experience with Adobe Products, CS4 on Mac and PC
• Designed for everything from high traffic e-commerce websites, to e-brochures to campaign-based short term websites.
• Over 5 years as a Print Designer creating Point of Purchase, Tradeshow Display, Advertising, Catalog & Mailers, and Corporate Identity.
• Freelance Designer and Illustrator for 7 years, in addition to salary employment.
  (In other words, I'm extremely self-motivated!)
• In addition to local/small clients, I've done work for: Mattel, Timberland, Auntie Anne's, Browning, Carolina Shoe, Honda Footwear, and many others.
